Hello loves!!! So a few weeks ago, I released one of my first travel guides for a quick trip to NYC, which was absolutely amazing. Madrid was a beautiful place to visit, even if only for 24 hours. I’ve got a Madrid travel guide for you all to show you the best of the city! I was there for a short trip during my trip to Spain a few weeks ago, but now, I’m back and want to put up this guide for you all!! It’s the same format as the other one as will the others in the future!!
Where to Stay:
As a first time traveler to Madrid, this hotel was perfect. It was right next to all of the train stations that I could need and literally down the street from Atocha, the Madrid rail station. If you’re like me and prefer rail travel, it’s a perfect hotel and the price isn’t too bad either. I could go up the street to a really tiny Asian restaurant up the street and get amazing food or even next door to McDonalds for some badass macarons (never did I ever think I would say macarons from McDonalds were badass).
It was in the perfect part of the city and although I wish it could have been close to the city center, it was right next to the Prado and I visited the museums and even went for a morning run in the gardens right next to the museum. The beds were comfortable and fortunately, it was one of the aesthetically pleasing hotels that fits my Instagram feed yet again. I don’t base my choice of hotels on that, but it was definitely a perk. If you want to be in the city, but not in the center of all of the hustle and bustle, I recommend the Hotel Paseo Del Arte, trust me, it’s perfect for you.
Where to Eat:
So while I was in Madrid, I probably had one of the best burgers in my entire life. It was a burger on Molette bread that was insanely good. Cooked to perfection, amazing cheese, perfectly seasoned. Just an all-around great burger. Steakburger is known for their gourmet burgers, and that was definitely it. The atmosphere was actually really cool and it was next door to the Music Conservatory. It was incredibly packed in there and rightly so. The burgers were great, so it makes perfect sense why there was an endless stream of people coming in and out.
What to Do:
Museo Del Prado // Real Madrid Game
Museums are my thing, plain and simple. When I mentioned that I was going to Spain, The Prado was the museum that everyone recommended to me. There was such a wide variety of art in that museum as well as a wide variety of other things. The inside and outside of the museum was stunning, and as a mention for people under 25 and still in school, you can get in for free. I showed up and had to pay full price, since I left my student ID in the hotel room, but plan in advance and you may be able to go for free.
The museum is also free on some days and times, so check their website. You’ll be able to see if you can get in for free. The museum houses some of the best Spanish pieces in the world in just about every style of art that you could think of. The museum had a rotating line of art coming in and out, so you’re surely not going to see the same thing when you go.
I could stay here all day ❤️ #TheHatOnTheGo

Real Madrid aka one of the best football clubs in the ENTIRE world. I’m in love with the game and have played since I was a little kid. Now I got to see some of my favourite players play against the team from Roma and the experience was out of this world. The atmosphere of the game was electric and the fans are so supportive. People say that American football fans are the greatest fans, but I’ve never seen more dedicated fans. Santiago Bernabéu Stadium was huge and the amount of people in the streets was insane.
The game itself was great and even though I didn’t know a single word of the chants when I came in (sounds like a real fan eh?) but within the first ten minutes, I felt like I was the kid who had been to every game since I was able to walk. Madrid won that game, so the after effects were amazing and if you get the chance to go to a game, definitely go. I promise you won’t regret going!
Where to Shop:
Gran Vía
Most major cities in Spain have a street filled to the brim with shops and boutiques. There was one in Barcelona and of course, there was one in Madrid. I was on a bus tour, so, unfortunately, I didn’t get to shop. Trust me, I cried as I passed by. But, I did get a good view of what shops were on the street that had me lusting. There was an H&M, Primark, Zara, Stradivarius, Berska, and so much more. I wish I could have been able to go and do some serious shopping. Regardless, it just makes me ready to go back so Spain and kill the streets the next time.
Spain was amazing and I’m putting my finishing touches on the Barcelona travel guide, but right now you can enjoy my vlogs on my Youtube channel. Madrid was beautiful and I wish I had more time there, but I’ll definitely be back. If you have any Madrid recommendations, leave them in the comments below, I would love to see them!!
