Ah Paris. I love the city of lights to death and luckily, this isn’t my first time there to explore. Even though it isn’t my first time, it was a new first….the first time I have ever gone to Paris Fashion Week. Having gone to London Fashion Week, I thought I’d known what I was getting into, but I was dead wrong. Getting up and running around Paris is totally different from anything I had imagined, but you know what one of my comforts was? Getting to go in at the end of the day and stay at the Hotel Magenta 38 by HappyCulture and just sleep at the end of the night.
I love a good hotel. I really do. But wanna know what I love more? Charm and personality. The Hotel Magenta had both of those things and in just a few days, I fell in love. Not only is the location perfect for anyone taking the Eurostar, but within 5 minutes walk, you can be at a couple Métro stations!
Let’s talk about the charm. From the moment I checked in, there was a certain charm about the hotel. It’s not in one of the more touristy, busier areas of Paris and it’s a breath of fresh air. You can easily take the Métro from Jacques Bonsergent to quickly get into the heart of the city. At the same time, staying in the area is perfectly fine, which adds to the charm. Not only do you get an amazing view if you have a room on the street view, but you get an added charming the hotel.
This hotel is one of — in Paris, but one of — in all of France. The special thing about this hotel is that if I were to go into one of the other branches in Paris during my stay, I would be welcomed just as if I was at the Hotel Magenta 38. That’s a major part of the charm of the hotel because it’s not just one hotel, it’s like a family of hotels. That’s a major part of the charm that I won’t forget and one that I’m dying to come back and check out at a different location.
Personality is key in my opinion. If there’s no personality in a hotel, chances are….I probably won’t be back. That’s not the problem here at all. There’s so much personality at the hotel, I don’t even know where to start. The rooms are so comfy and I loved how nice everyone was from start to finish. Each member of the staff knows a certain set of languages. So no matter where you’re from, there’s always someone who can help you figure out where you want to go to dinner, how to get around the city, and so much more. The personality of everyone at the hotel as well as the personality of the hotel itself were so memorable. I honestly don’t know of a hotel I’d rather stay in now!
Thank you to the Hotel Magenta 38 for hosting me for the stay! I did get a media rate for this stay. Regardless, I had an amazing time and all the opinions expressed are mine and mine alone.

I feel you. It’s always a much better experience when hotels have personality. It makes your stay and vacation 10 times better. It makes it feel more like a home away from home. I’ll be sure to check it out when I go to Paris!

I agree – the charm to the hotel is sometimes more important than how fancy or how touristy it is! I love the way this hotel feels. It looks like it was really cozy – and the balcony views are to die for!

Love your photos. What beautiful shots you’ve taken. I adore Paris, and really any view of the city is gorgeous. I find Paris so accessible by train that you don’t really need to be in the core of the city. I hope you had the most incredible stay!

For someone who frequents Paris every few months I’m always on the look for staying at new places and would love to stay at the Magenta. The way you describe it I’d probably never even want to leave the hotel, but FW is FW and I suppose you’ve got to see some shows too, haha. I definitely will check into this for my next stay so thanks for the tip! 🙂
