What a weekend it was…I spent the last weekend of August in Atlanta and oh my gosh, was it a great time! After heading to Imagine last year as a photographer, I was all too happy to come back this year and do it all again! I’m getting more and more photography under my belt and I absolutely love shooting live events like Imagine!
Just like last year, the colours overwhelmed meme right from the get-go. There are a million things to catch your eye from the second you enter the festival, which is great for someone like me who bounces around a lot! Day 1 was great to get a bit of the festival under my belt! First thing I saw when I walked in was a HUGE line of pop-up shops! There was everything from super cool sunglasses to crochet bralets, all perfect for festivals.
Most of the shops sold Imagine themed items that everyone would need for a festival, and for the majority of it, the shops were full of cool things to take home that I could use on a daily, occasional basis. There was lots of music (of course) and I think that my favourite performer was Leah Culver! She did a brilliant cover of JB’s “Where are U Now?” at the the the and I died because I could almost say that it was as good as the original! The song was a great version that combined the pop with the electronic feel! Did I mention that her voice is spectacular? You can listen to the cover here!
Carmen and I spent the day walking around the festival and interacting with everyone, taking pictures and videos, etc. There was a banana-riding-bull-esque machine that I hopped on and it was so hard to use! This year, I was able to go behind the press gate and take pictures, so the amount of crowd photos I have basically tripled from last year! A bit crazy isn’t it? But still I had an amazing time and with the new photo tricks I have, I’ve gotten a lot more experience under my belt. If you want to look at ANY of my pictures, check out my IMF album right here!
I’ll share my outfit soon and you can watch my vlog from the festival below!! Come back in a day or two for more and more AND MORE!!!
