On Friday, my friend Laura asked me to come to the GA National Fair, and I said yes, of course, because who doesn’t like the fair? We headed down there Saturday morning and spent the day at the big top having fun, and I just wanted to let you all in on what we possibly could have done to take 445 photos, while we were down there (including ones for another outfit post)! I’m not going to go into detail about everything, because if I did this post would be 10 pages long, I’ll just go over the highlights though!
Like most teenagers, one of the first things we went after was food. And like any fair, there was A TON to choose from. It was insane how many stands were barbecuing meat, grilling burgers, frying fries, etc. I’m sad I didn’t get a picture of all of the stands! But the food was amazing. I had a burger, and Laura had a corn dog. We shared fries, which obviously were amazing.
And also like any teenage girls, we had to find the hot guys (or the hot performer guy) and take a picture with them! There was a dive show “The Hatfield and McCoy’s Dive Show” which was pretty awesome! I have tons of pictures of them diving, and of course, we got a picture with the cast. Laura got there first so she got to pick where she stood for the picture -_-. But it was entertaining and the diving was SUPERB so if you ever get a chance to see them do it!
We also found the not-so-haunted fun house. There we pictures of me looking like a hot mess so those were the ones I chose of course! It was really cool inside and we tried to be artsy. I think the ticket guy photobombed us (but with a smile so I’m okay)!
Miscellaneous stuff that happened in the middle, we went to a jungle animal exhibit (which was a bit sad, since all of the animals seemed depressed and were locked up…), where Laura made a new friend with the tiger, and there was a hat vendor, so I took the opportunity to buy another snapback (a love of mine), an OBEY one, that’s probably a knockoff, but I don’t mind one bit!
By midday, we were hungry again, but this time for something SWEET!!! So we got a funnel cake, caked in powdered sugar! It got everywhere and was a sweet, sugary mess, but we really didn’t care! The taste made up for it! Yummmy memory!
We went to a sea lion show, and these sea lions were pretty bada** just saying! The danced for us, swam, did tricks, and were adorable! They were all girls, and one of them just became a mummy a few weeks ago! It was a great show, and was very cute!
Life Under the Big Top! Ahh what a time! It was so much fun to go to a circus again. This wasn’t even a full fledged circus, and I had fun! There was dancing, so many colors, lights, animals, acts, etc. It was like a Ringling Brothers, Barmum and Bailey Circus turned down a few notches!
The last thing we did, and the last thing that anyone should do at a fair was the ferris wheel! We’d been dying to go all day, but we saved our tickets, and headed off at the end of the day to go up and around. The line was not long at all, and it was a great time of night to go! Not too hot, not too cold! And the view, ah words cannot tell you how great it was! You could see the entire fair and beyond from the big top! Everything was lit up so it was fantastic!
Well I’ve come to the end of telling you about my day, and it was a pretty awesome Saturday! There’s a post coming soon about my outfit. We had such a great time at the big top! Can’t wait for you all to read them x
