Impromptu (Faux) Fur

So in Atlanta, winter isn’t a concept anyone particularly expects. I’ve lived here for most of my life, but I still don’t know what winter is gonna throw at me, which is quite scary!! Sometimes, we get surprises like Snowpocalpyse 2014 or a 60 degree Christmas right?! Well this winter, we’ve gotten both. You read that right, both. It’s a bit crazy and unless you live underneath a rock, you know about the oh so lovely *insert sarcastic tone* storm called Jonas that’s hit the US’ East Coast this week! Well, Atlanta caught some of the fun that the storm brought and we actually got snow!! This shoot was a bit impromptu, but I went outside and took my fur with me!!

Fur is such a hot topic and trend right now.  I’m pretty surprised at myself that I haven’t worn it much before now. I’ve got fur on the hood of my favourite parka, but at the end of the day, I haven’t worn a lot more than that. I bought this vest in the midst of the sales at the end of 2015, but now I’ve come to love it!! It’s a great layering tool and I adore it. It was absolutely FREEZING when I took these pictures, but now I’ve got snow pictures that aren’t 2 years old!!

I didn’t just use fur to keep my body warm! The shoes I trekked out in had fur on the rim and also on the inside of the shoe!! How amazing is that right?! It’s super soft and it’s safe to say that my toes were nice and warm the entire time!! This look may not be the best for braving the cold, but fur is definitely keeping me warm. My chest was insulated during the entire shoot and honestly, I regret nothing!!! Fur, faux or not, is absolutely amazing and if you don’t own some….GO GET SOME (that is if it’s your style of course, if not, that’s cool too)!!!
