ISSA London. A brand that has been around since 2003, but also one of my favorites. I happened to see their SS16 show at London Fashion Weekend, so I thought it’d be a perfect show to write on for this week’s designer spotlight – ISSA!
Dressing everyone from Naomi Watts to Kate Middleton, ISSA London has risen among the top brands over the past few years. They balance the prints and patterns with simplistic feminine traits, and they maintain their signature pieces each season.
The label was begun by Daniella Helayel in 2003, but has seen multiple designers since her leave as head designer. ISSA London is currently under the direction of Jamie O’Hare, who has worked with Max Mara and See by Chloe. Despite their designer changes, ISSA has remained the same with its jersey wrap dresses mixed with bold colors and vivacious prints.
I’ve been a fan of ISSA London for years and I’m so excited to see their new pieces each season. The jacket above was one of the new pieces that I’m excited to have seen. I love the pile fur on the jacket and if this is any indication on where the brand is going, this is a great one and I can’t wait to see their further lines.
