Everything Black Owned: June Edition ft. Zoezi Sport, Double Scoop Ice Cream & More
You know what time it is!! It is time for our Black-Owned Roundup again this month! I’m excited to bring it back and continue it moving forward! This month, I’m looking forward to expanding this and continuing this series moving forward. Here’s my current list of 10, and this time, I’ve even included some of my favorite creators! For this one, I wanted to add in a fitness brand, Zoezi Sport, as I’m using a lot of their gear on my health kick! I don’t want this to just be about brick and mortar, but also online creatives who put that work in!
1. Zoezi Sport –
Early last month, I was looking for new exercise gear in order for me to get back in shape. Well, now I’ve found a great set of gear that I love!! I love the fit and it’s a great gym set!
2. Kaye McCoy –
Kaye is not only a friend, but she has been a key piece to this blog. During college, I worked as her photography assistant and she taught me everything I know about photography. She’s doing so many things and I wouldn’t be nearly as far without her help. Be sure to check out her photography, but also her new stationery endeavor, Papergirl!
3. Brownie Points for You
I don’t know if you saw the iconic mug that Viola Davis tweeted, but if you missed it, check it out here. I got mine and a bunch of other bits like this lapel pin from Brownie Points for You and I love them!
4. Kierra Lashae – Her Food Life
I love food. I really do. It’s like my favorite thing to talk about, but I can’t cook well enough to create recipes and I don’t have the time to go to all of the delicious recipes in Atlanta. Well, Kierra has killed the game. There are so many delicious places I want to try. Sadly,I probably won’t have the time to hit all of them. Her feed makes me salivate and I love seeing where she goes next.
5. Daddy Issues
If you missed my Listen to Black Women talk about Mental Health, then you met Christian Jackson! Well, I purchased her book to help me work through some of the trauma in my life and I have no regrets. It’s not only a great read, but it really has me take a good look at myself and my relationships.
6. Candidly Clarise
You know those feeds you just love to look at? Well Clarise’s is one of them. I love her travel and lifestyle content, plus she always looks fantastic too. She also has her own blog here, and you should definitely check her out.
7. Double Scoop Ice Cream
I love ice cream, I really do. I remember going to Brusters with my parents when Atlanta heated up. While I can’t do that anymore, I can still enjoy a nice cone of ice cream from Double Scoop!
Location: 2970 Stonecrest Pass, Stonecrest, GA 30038
8. Anastasia Simon –
Anastasia is a friend and she works in Marketing Strategist. If you saw this live I posted a few weeks ago, that’s her! She works in VC currently, but also is working with founders to create intentional, and impactful businesses. If you’re a startup or lifestyle brand, she’s your gal!
9. Skin Buttr
Not only is the packaging beautiful, but these moisturizers have so many different scents. I really want to try the Cocoa Vanilla one, but the scrubs also look really interesting!
10. Dashaé Smallwood
You might have met Dashaé when she participated in my Listen to Black Women series. She runs the blog The Curly Clinician and recently graduated from her Doctoral program! She’s not only an amazing creator, but she’s a great PT and sharer of information!
Thank you so much for reading this iteration of the list! I hope you enjoyed it and be sure to come back next month for a few more! I’ve shared a few of my favorites in this week’s list, so if you want to see the next list, be sure to sign up below for more.
