Welcome back to another month of Black-ownedbusinesses! This month is special because I still love doing these! I was going through some things last month, so sorry I missed last month. But, I’m back, ready, and here to share some Black brands and creators that I enjoy! I’ve chosen some amazing creators like Jo Franco, as well as businesses like Sincerely Ria! So take a look and enjoy!
1.Sincerely Ria by Mariama Diallo
First up is Mariama Diallo and her brand Sincerely Ria. If you missed it, earlier Shein and WeWoreWhat stole her original designs on her products, but you can’t replicate the original. You can literally see the quality difference and while the set I wanted was sold out, I’m still going to buy it as soon as it gets back in stock.
2. Stephanie Twum
Stephanie is my trainer in Atlanta. I came to her with a goal, that I wanted to cut some of my body fat I put on during Covid and she didn’t back away from the challenge. Her workouts put me through IT, but not to the point that I hate coming back. She has her own membership system called The TwumFit Babes Club and I enjoy my time with them every time I work out with her! If you’re in ATL and looking for a trainer, hit her up!
3. She The Collection
I’ve bought many things from She The Collection and gotta say, I really enjoy them. I’m taking one of the backless playsuits with me on my trip this summer for my trip and I’m so excited. I didn’t wear it last year as I was stuck inside all summer, but now, I’m ready to give it some good use.
4. Beauty Bar Loft Salon
I’m moving soon, but I am so so excited to give some love to my amazing hairstylist. Cheyenne’s been doing my hair since I was in middle school. She did my hair for my cousin’s wedding and helped me on my journey of growing actually healthy hair. She’s made some of my favorite wigs and during the pandemic when I couldn’t go in, she actually showed me how to customize a wig on my own!! While I will absolutely say that I’m nowhere as good at it as she is, but I can get it done! I’m going to be so sad to leave and not see her til the holidays, and I know my hair will miss her too!
5. Blake from Signed Blake
You might’ve seen Blake from her collection with Amazon’s The Drop, but her Insta is just fire! She’s an amazing Chicago-based content creator and an attorney! She’s literally goals because I want to figure out how to do both, content creating and separate career, so I’m hoping to keep following her to see if I can figure out how she manages both!
6. Jo Franco
Jo Franco is a well-known creator, but she’s branching out and it’s so good to watch! She’s got her new Netflix show and doing big things. I followed her ages ago because I loved keeping up my language skills with her, but also seeing how she’s learning new languages even now!
7. Francesca from One Girl One World
I’m really on a travel focus right now. I’m excited to get back into the world (safely) so I am getting all of my travel inspo in now! Francesca has amazing colorful photos and I’ve loved her USA photos during the pandemic. There’s a lot to do in the country now, near or far, and I’ve gotten a lot of great ideas from her!
8. Britney Nicole
Oftentimes, one of the things about the creative space that is lacking is balance. I love seeing her content and how she’s teaching people how to be the best version of themselves and the best boss possible. Hoping to keep learning from her and hope you all will too!
9. Sai de Silva
Everyone knows Sai and her adorable family, and she’s just an OG. She’s got amazing content, I love seeing her life in New York and her style is amazing. Gives me something to try for one day ha.
10. Jenniiva (Crochet)
I love crochet pieces. It’s one of the things I’ve never been good at, but I always enjoy it. I love the pieces she puts together because not only are they really cute, but they’re also such unique designs! Who knows, you might just see me in some crochet bits really soon.
Thanks, everyone for checking in with me and reading this post! I still love putting these roundups together and hope that you’ll come back soon for more posts!
