Burgundy is one of those beautiful colors that can never really go out of style! Pantone’s Color of the Year in 2015 was Masala, which is almost the same as oxblood/burgundy, so when I got this beanie in the mail from ADay, I way-way beyond excited! You may remember this look from my lookbook video, so I’m excited to show it to you all in more detail!
There’s nothing better in the winter than good knitwear. Whether that means amazingly handcrafted socks or a cute pom beanie, winter wear is always better with knits. I really love how simple this beanie is. At the same time, the burgundy acts like a pop of color when it comes to this outfit. I love wearing all-black as you all know, but sometimes staying cozy can be a bit inhibited by the weather. Wearing jeans all the time is boring, so a cute skirt can make an outfit even better!

As you all know, Atlanta doesn’t really get a winter. I love living here and trust me, I don’t mind not having a brutal winter like what I would have living up north in New York City or so. I love having a nice, mild winter, but at the same time, I would love to be able to wear my knits like this all the time. ADay makes their knitwear and items sustainably and responsibly, by using recycled fabrics and cold washes to create their garments!
Plus, their team is made up of some of the most stylish individuals that I have seen in my entire life, based out of London and NYC! When will you find knitwear and athleisure/athletic wear made like this ever again? I know I’m not going to, so I’m excited to up my workout game with their bits! We will have to see what happens in the new year!

I live in Los Angeles and we really don’t get weather either, but the minute we do I love to throw on some comfy clothes and a cute hat. The minute I saw your burgundy beanie I fell in love. It’s just too darn cute and would be perfect, especially on the days when I don’t wanna do my hair. Love this post, oh and super cute jacket!!

I like the color of this hat! Knit hats are such a great choice for cold winter months. I wish it was warm enough in Seattle to wear skirts during the winter. I love wearing dresses and skirts but I find that tights aren’t enough to ward off the cold. So I bundle up a ton instead. Knitwear is definitely something that helps a lot!

Andrea TiffanyGlad you like the hat! It came in handy this weekend with the cold and hopefully it’ll warm up soon in Seattle so you can wear a few skirts! x

I’m just like you as Aus never really gets an all out winter but I like it that way! I prefer not to have frost bite and still have the option to wear cute skirts with my chunky knitwear! Totally agree that burgundy beanie adds such a cute pop of colour to the all black outfit and the pom pom is just cute – period.

Atlanta sounds like SoCal winters. I love this all black look and while I don’t wear too much color, I’ve made an exception for burgundy this season too! Something about burgundy works with black right? Such a cute beanie and i love the quilted details in the leather jacket. What a cute outfit and something I would totally wear. Xoxo, Christine

Your burgundy beanie adds a nice touch of color to your black, edgy outfit babe. I actually also went through a period when I was in loveeee with the color burgundy and I think it’s a great color to wear during the cooler months when you want to add some color to your wardrobe.

Such a cute beanie. Love your all black look. I haven’t rocked all black much since moving to LA. I miss colder weather. All my jackets and outerwear are pretty much rarely used. I need 4 seasons. lol Have a great week!
