Welcome back to Black-Owned Everything! If you missed the first post, you can check it out here. In short, this is a monthly collection of black-owned businesses, creators, and more. Think of it as a monthly Black-Owned Businesses Directory! I haven’t gotten deep enough into black creators yet, but I want to share all of these businesses I’ve shopped at over the last few months!
1. Addie Rawr –
I love art and I’m always trying to find new pieces to decorate my walls as I prep to move! I purchased a couple of cute things like prints and stickers. I’m excited to unroll them and actually use them!
2. Best Girl Store
I love simplicity and luxury. These 18k gold necklaces are gorgeous and come with a cute, but resonating message. I’ve been wearing my Black Girl Magic one a ton, but I bought the bundle and love them!
3. Ayele Co –
Late last year, my skin flared up and nothing worked. I tried time and time again until I found the Ayele Hydraboost Serum and the Intense Exfoliating Wash. They work super well and I really love them. Both are essential pieces of my skin routine at home and abroad.
4. Rosen Skincare –
Rosen popped off over the last few months, but I got in before that! As I mentioned earlier, I had a really bad bout with my skin. Rosen’s skincare is all-natural and now found on their site and Target! I started off with the full Fade Max as my main routine, I now primarily use it as a travel set when I travel. It’s a really easy set and comes in travel size already, so I’m happy with it!
5. BLK + GRN –
If you’re looking for an actual black business directory, Blk + Grn is your best place to look. It’s a marketplace for black artisans and it is where I found the Honey Pot, Black Girl Sunscreen, and even just day-to-day essentials like dryer balls!
6. Grant Park Coffee –
Grant Park Coffee is a local stop, so if you’re in Atlanta, I highly recommend popping in for a cup of Joe! I stopped by here a ton when I was working in the area last year, but when I pass through, I do try to stop in for a cup of coffee or a snack! Plus, they’re located across from Zoo Atlanta, so if you’re lucky you might hear one of the animals while you work.
Location: 753 Cherokee Ave SE, Atlanta, GA 30315
7. Triple Jay’s Pizza –
Another Atlanta favorite! I love pizza and it’s one of the ways to my heart. It’s so great to see them succeed after their food truck. Plus like…the wings?! Like seriously insert the heart eyes, drool emoji. These NY style pizzas are great and I’m so so ready to pick up more soon.
Location: 1020 Piedmont Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30309
8. Black and Mobile –
If you’re trying to eat at more black-owned restaurants, Black & Mobile is YOUR PLACE. They’re rolling out in cities across the country and they are in Atlanta, so I’m pretty well fed!
9. Vanzzini Art Studio –
I love resin and acrylic art so all of Jai’s pieces are just right up my street. I’m eyeing so many things I want to pick up.
10. A House called Hue –
I have been dying to build a patchwork denim jacket for years now and I might be able to make it a reality with A House Called Hue! The life and soul of these patches are great. I love looking at them and can’t wait to buy a few!
I hope you’ve enjoyed this roundup of black-owned everything for May! I look forward to continuing this series down the road! If you want to see more black-owned businesses, check out my email list here for all the updates.
