Hello everyone!!! So if you’ve been ready any of my beauty posts, you know that I love a good mud mask! Mud masks are an essential part of my skin routine and now I’ve found and tried not one, but 3 different masks! How crazy is that? You can read my post about the Dead Sea mask here and watch my video about the Adovia mud here! I’m trying my third and final product here, Zakia’s Clay Mud Mask, and I hope you enjoy the review!
Clay Mask – Zakia’s Clay Mud Mask *
So what’s the best part of this mask and sets it apart from the others? It’s not really a mud mask, it’s clay! It’s a lot thicker than the others as you can see in the photos above and because of this, it feels a lot better and does a great job at hydrating my skin. The mask comes in a powder form from Zakia’s and you have to mix it yourself, but they provide simple instructions on how to get the most out of the mask. Also, this mask does not just have to be used on the face. It can also be used on the body and in the hair, providing coverage and exfoliation all over the body. The clay works quickly and efficiently to cleans and exfoliate the skin so after you wipe it off, you feel amazing and your face feels smoother than ever.
As a Moroccan brand, all of the products provided by Zakia’s are from Morocco. The clay for this mask comes from the Atlas Mountain Lava clay. There are plenty of other products offered on their site that make use of the beautiful land and products available in Morocco. I only used this mask on my face after I took the pictures for about 10 minutes. After I washed off the clay, my skin felt as smooth as a baby’s bum! Unlike some other masks, this one did not dry my skin out afterwards, but it also helped even out my complexion.
Overall, this clay mask was well worth the time and effort of making my own clay. It was easy to apply and remove and it did its job extremely well. I came out with smoother skin that felt soft to the touch. That’s all I can ask for in a face mask! x
