Can you believe that it’s been a month since I was in Spain? I really can’t because since then, time has FLOWN! I’ve been waiting to post this travel guide for ages because Barcelona is one of my favourite spots to visit to date! In this Barcelona travel guide, I’m going to have the same layout of the others and honestly, I can’t wait to share this. Travel guides are so much fun to write and they allow me to go back through my memories and see what the best of each place was, so it’s only right that I go and do one for Barcelona!
Where to Stay:
So for a week, my Instagram feed went back to the white base that I love so much. Everything about this hotel was perfect, from the staff to the breakfast they made each morning. El Palauet is in the perfect location near all of the high end shops, but away from the super touristy sector of Barcelona. There was a small street next to the apartments where I was able to buy all of the little things I get when I go to Europe and I regret nothing!
El Palauet is apartment-style, but it is so worth the extra cost. There’s a spa on top of the building, featuring an amazing view of the city. Remember that lookbook I filmed in Spain? Well, that’s where the location was for the most part! Everything was aesthetically pleasing, plus the beds were heavenly soft. I adored everything about El Palauet, I’ll definitely be going back there!
Where To Eat:
Parco // L’Eggs
Just saying, Barcelona killed it in the food department. Parco was the best sushi/sashimi restaurants that I’ve come across in my lifetime and I have had a lot of sushi. Everything was perfect and the atmosphere was so cool. Definitely go at night, but make a reservation in advance, because it is packed 24/7. Definitely go for the California rolls or just take your luck with a random pick on the menu, it is all amazing!
Cous cous anyone?? 😍❤️ #TheHatOnTheGo

As someone who hates eggs with a passion, you would think that the last place I would go to eat is a place that specializes in eggs? Well, I did and I have no regrets. L’EGGS by Paco Pérez is run by a Michelin star awarded chef and houses some of the best dishes I had on my trip. It was literally across the street from the hotel, but the food is something that I would easily travel across the city to taste!
Since I don’t eat eggs, much of the menu was off-limits for me, but my dish made up for it and more. This restaurant is contemporary, but the atmosphere is very comfortable and cool, and let me just say it again for good measure….the food was amazing!
What To Do:
La Sagrada Família // Montjuïc
La Sagrada Família aka the most beautiful church I have ever seen. I was inside mostly for the architecture, but my camera has been blessed by the pictures I took inside. Mostly designed by the great Antoni Gaudí, this amazing construction won’t be finished for a minimum of 20 years. Yet, it still blows me away when I look at the pictures.
The way that the light interacts with the structure is out of this world and it is a must-see when in the city. No matter if you’re visiting for religious purposes or to view the amazing structure in real life, I say go. If you don’t, I promise you will have missed out on something spectacular. La Sagrada Família is an essential part of my Barcelona travel guide. So, I recommend that you go! Montjuïc is a large hill (in my terms, it’s a freaking mountain and this was like a hike) that supports many things, everything from the Olympic Stadium in 1992 to the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya (for non-Spanish speakers the National Museum of Catalonian Art). Although a hill may not seem that exciting, Montjuïc has hands down one of the best views of Barcelona that you will ever see. In my Barcelona travel guide, I definitely recommend it because that sunset….it’s absolutely breathtaking.
Where to Shop:
Maremagnum
So my Barcelona travel guide wouldn’t be complete without where to shop!!! Maremagnum is the shopping center near the Barcelona docks that has it all. I found all of the European stores that don’t ship to the US that I adore there (ex. Stradivarius and Pull & Bear) along with a host of other stores that I won’t see here! I loved the layout of the shopping center, mostly because it didn’t feel like a typical mall. It sounds weird, but the open concept of Maremagnum was essential in helping traffic flow in and out, but also kept the sense of openness.
So that was my Barcelona travel guide! I hope that you all enjoyed reading this and the pictures along with it!! If you ever have the chance to go to Barcelona, I definitely recommend these stops. If you have any others, leave them in the comments below!!! x
